Based on an online survey of 32,000 respondents in 28 countries conducted in November 2023, the 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer Global Report found low levels of trust in these institutions’ ability to manage “new innovations and technologies.” In China, however, the level of trust in NGOs fell significantly from the previous year.
