The Washington Post did a great article today that reinforces the value of nonprofits' using email as a core fundraising strategy rather then social networks. It seemed too early to tell, but then, when we checked back about a year later, we found this interesting and profound story about the nonprofit group "Save Darfur."

See the Darfur scores for example. Transparent scorecard reporting: After aggregating a "grade" for each policy maker, publish it on the Internet, with all relevant substantiating information. Also use political fundraising reporting tools to learn who donated to particular politicians.

We also have a student division: STAND , which has more than 850 chapters around the world, and the students in those chapters actively organize and mobilize their communities and schools to pass legislation, to fundraise, and to really make more noise about genocide in Darfur and genocide in general.

The Save Darfur Coalition asks to organize events, vigils. jaygoldman @ kanter Rewarding verified offline actions with online social credit. Deepen relationship through custom apps that improve on org activites (event fundraising, petitions). jeffshuck @ kanter I'm biased, but events are a powerful way to move online advocates offline.
