I encountered strong push-back on the listserv, with one subscriber calling my fitness for my job title, “collections care trainer,” into question. My favorite bit so far is the jobs map. . More databases now have protocols and mechanisms that allow you to pull your data out and publish it online, so your site can always have your most current information, no updating required. Venture capitalists want to put everything on the blockchain and generate big returns, but why not just use a database instead? This is personally relevant to me, of course, as a creative type who also stepped away from a “major” — a staff job at a big publication — in favor of selling my work directly to readers.
