The term "virtual volunteering" is a contested term. But, the phrase is important, because talking about the best ways to support and involve volunteers using Internet tools, specifically, is important. The results: Yes: 32% No: 68%. So I went through the workshop and then, at the end, asked the question again.

Knowledge: Subject matter expertise, research, polling, case studies. Many sponsors and donors want recognition for their support. In other cases, the organization and the donors want to send a message to other donors that this organization has broad and deep support. Does anyone carve, knit, sew or create t-shirts… or fun food?

Every now and then, we like to predict what's on the tech horizon. We recently polled our TechSoup employees and NetSquared community on what they see as looming large in 2015.
