One of the best things about NPSP is that if an organization has really straightforward needs — like keeping track of donor contacts and their associated accounts and donations — the out-of-the-box functionality will work just fine and you won’t have to configure the platform at all. “I want to feed all the hungry children from here to the frosty, wind-swept steppes of distant Mongolia” is a worthy goal, but “I want to raise $5,000 to help feed the kids at the local homeless shelter” is a more realistic (and achievable) one. Help them set up and manage their campaign.
