We’re against piracy, and have made commitments to authors and publishers to encourage compliance with copyright law. But, when asked if we know whether or not there are “pirated” copyrighted materials, we can’t say. We write software for people with disabilities as well as human rights and environmental groups. And then they go away.

The legal framework for Bookshare is the Section 121 copyright exception in federal copyright law: all Bookshare users must have a disability that qualifies under that section. In addition, the school’s primary contact would be reminded of this information by email as well. serving students with print disabilities.

First, there's what looks like a reversed smiley face in the subject (maybe it was supposed to be a copyright symbol). But the very last line says not to reply to the email, even though the reply address is the one I've just been invited to write to. =. To restore your account we have attached a form to this email.

But the really lame part is that the links at the end (Contact Customer Service, View Our Privacy Statement, Add Us to Your Address Book) point to americanexpress.com.
