You may have heard of her. We anticipate great things.
Here at NTEN, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that last week our colleague, Michael DeLong, passed away very suddenly. Michael was an active member of the NTENcommunity, NTC speaker, colleague, friend, and an all-around great person to know. He was our social media manager. May his gentle soul rest in peace.".
Before I worked at NTEN, I managed the NetSquared program at TechSoup Global. At that time, most of NetSquared’s content came from the community blog, where anyone working at the intersection of technology and social impact could create a profile and contribute to the blog with stories, case studies, and more.
Online community is pretty amazing stuff. Enter NTEN''s 501 Tech Clubs. Tech Clubs are driven by local leaders who step up to organize and plan group events with the support of NTEN. Some Tech Clubs have merged with NetSquared local groups who share similar group objectives. tech club logo.
Last week was the 2011 Nonprofit Technology Conference and not only did I have the pleasure of presenting a couple sessions, it was also my first NTC as a staffer, as I joined NTEN earlier this month. I had a really wonderful time, and the Community-Driven Social Impact session was terrific! Presentation.
The NTEN staff is consistently amazed at how fabulous our members are. But honestly, last Wednesday, on NTEN Give Thanks day, you really blew our minds. There was so much love floating around it silenced the NTEN office -- which is really hard to do! -- while we sifted through your posts and reflected on your greatness.

All that has happened in the last two and half years has truly been a community-driven effort and I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to be part of the team helping this community achieve so much! I am so thankful for the opportunity to have dreamed together and collaborated on community-driven projects around the world.

I’ve been following the work of Rob and his team closely as they have shown not just interest, but passion and intent for engaging with the community at large to create a tool that meets the needs of nonprofit organizations and keeps us involved in making the tool better and better.

The Ambassadors are senior NetSquared leaders who offer their support to other organizers in their country or region, allowing us to serve members in different time zones and in languages other than English.
