Therefore, instead of making a significant financial investment in Black-led organizations, funders encourage Black leaders to participate in mentoring and/or leadership development programs. In December 2023, I was accepted into this program, which is designed to teach program participants the importance of prioritizing their well-being.

This is a community hospital in the Hopkins network and our team has created a program to take care of patients with heart failure. I also teach students, residents and fellows and hold joint appointments in the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health as an Assistant Professor.
It’s the gift of having my children teach me that everyday actions can make a world of difference. Children are teaching their parents that everyday actions can make a world of difference.
