In the 60 minutes piece, it is referred to the flipped classroom or peer instruction a mindset that directs attention away from teachers and puts it squarely on the students and their learning. Taking self-directed and collaborativelearning a step further is peeragogy.
In 2023, creator and social agency Whalar Group announced an ambitious plan to create physical campuses for content creators to learn, make, and collaborate with their peers. Now the company is opening the doors to its first campus in Venice, Calif. And I think that enables the creator economy to go into its next chapter.
I started in the Cornell University Center for Theatre Arts , where I founded and directed two programs: Cornell Theatre Outreach and the Community-Based Arts Project. Most of the projects with these programs were carried out collaboratively; so I had a chance to see how different kinds of organizations, from grassroots to national, operate.
I am also interested in the intersection of the government and the nonprofit sectors, which includes cross-sector collaboration, nonprofit provision of public services, etc. I worked for the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University, and I got my doctoral degree from the University of Southern California.
