You’re asking people to help you feed hungry families or save animals or provide scholarships for at-risk youth. Using heartstring words like “homeless,” “abandoned,” “deserving,” “malnourished,” “unjust,” “innocent,” etc., Doesn’t “deserving homeless veterans” tug at your heart more than just “veterans”? Use ADJECTIVES!

Feed people? Think about your audience as someone who doesn’t know anything about food insecurity, homelessness, first generation college students, or animal abuse. Contact people through Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, if you are active on those platforms. Use a tool like Buffer to schedule posts and keep your feeds fresh.

Hundreds of thousands are now homeless. " Save the Children , one of the few relief agencies allowed to operate in-country, said the toll would rise sharply in the coming days as more victims were found in difficult to reach areas. Right now, thousands and thousands of women and children in Myanmar, need help.

Here’s a hint: They want to know the inside scoop on what it takes to save bears or tutor kids or help homeless veterans. Our friends at Epic Outreach do a GREAT job of telling their story on Facebook using photos and video. Many people scroll their social feeds and don’t turn the sound on. Saving bears? Captions are great.
