Small orgs work quickly, but often times that acceleration lacks direction. Leverage the SMALL ORG ADVANTAGE by looking for donated or discounted licenses. In the end, changing the way your organization uses technology needs to start with setting a direction. Here are six steps that will help give your technology direction.
More orgs will hire CTOs. Technology will finally enter the c-suite of not-for-profit orgs. Other orgs will finally learn what I've known for 5 years: bring it in-house and don't silo your tech people, make one of them a c-suite leader. The hottest org in 2020? And, at an event, it is a means of taking action immediately.

As long as your org doesn't give technology a seat at the leadership table, it will continue to be viewed as just another expense. Tech people also don't frequently get to talk to experts at other organization, while executives are able to make these connections and leverage relationships on behalf of a tech executive.
