In the beginning, TechSoup’s Marnie Webb, Daniel Ben-Horin, and Billy Bicket created NetSquared to "remix the web for social change." To get going, they built the first NetSquared website using open-source Drupal. The NetSquared website was itself designed to be a model Web 2.0 " The year was 2005.
NetSquared Local Reaches 70 Groups Worldwide! NetSquared, an initiative of TechSoupGlobal.org – "In the last two months, we've had 5 new NetSquared Local groups join the scene, bringing the new official number to 70 groups worldwide! At 4:00 p.m. EDT/1:00 p.m. " The trend is up 12.1%!

Today Allison Fine and I celebrated the launch of the Networked Nonprofit at TechSoup Global in the space where Netsquared Meetups take place.
