Uplifting historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) Shaw University, located in Raleigh, NC, was the first HBCU organized in the South and is the birthplace of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). At Howard University, we used to sing the song during convocation.

This is the first time in years that, as I sat at home, I felt like I was reaching out to the Universe of which we are all a part. I am a student at Bowling Green State University and cannot make it home for services, this is a great way for me to participate in a service while at school. Thank you for bringing me back.
