Not two minutes had passed after I set up my birthday campaign and added it to my profile, I got pinged from Facebook friends asking how they could install it. Celebrating Birthdays is definitely part of Facebook culture. When you log into your Facebook account, you can see which of your friends is celebrating a birthday.

While there has been some high-profile efforts to raise awareness and money, most recently by former football player Steve Gleason and his Team Gleason House , research efforts and awareness have been low compared to the other fatal diseases. It is a debilitating disease with no known cure.

You can take that back to your supporters as something to celebrate while creating social proof for your cause. Celebrate it and claim the victory as even more reason to get involved, whether that be to volunteer, donate, etc. Have supporters change their profile picture. That’s awesome!
