I recently read an article about fundraising on social networking sites. Last month, I turned my blog pink in support of Breast Cancer and in September, I put on a red t-shirt. This month's fashion statement is gray and green to match the colors of Creative Commons logo. That's why I also remixed the fundraising widget.

For my 50th birthday, I held a 50th Birthday Card Photo Remix Contest on flickr and donated $50 the winner's favorite charity. An easy way to support the Nature Conservancy if you're on Facebook is to install (Lil) Green Patch. October is also breast cancer awareness month, so why not make a donation ? And, yes they did !
