I am in Cambodia as part of Tech2Empower , an initiative of Wake. I traveled with a team of Advisers to conduct an interactive “Tech2Empower” workshop for leaders of anti-trafficking and women’s rights NGOs. I’ve also taught social media to young people in Cambodia.

In 2005, we got a chance to meet face-to-face in London at the Global Voices Blogging Summit after I transitioned from being the Cambodia bridge blogger. There was also awards ceremony co-sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Click To Play Whenever I've travel over to Cambodia, I have the opportunity to check two large suitcases up to 70 pounds each. Since I could not visit Cambodia without carrying over some items for the Sharing Foundation, I had a third checked piece of luggage, a portable crib for orphanage.

Leng Sopharath is one of 19 college students being sponsored for college through a program of the Sharing Foundation , an ngo that works directly with local officials, orphanages, and NGOs in Cambodia to identify and carry out projects which improve the lives of children.

I just set up a ChipIn page and widget (see above) to help raise money for an NGO, the Sharing Foundation that supports children in Cambodia. My family and I have been sponsoring a young woman, Leng Sopharath for college (annual contribution $750 per year) and hope to be able to support her until graduation. I'm on the board.
