You need to add Cambodia's voice to the global conversation happening on video blogs. I set up a series of compression tests and plan to see if play at all while in Cambodia. I tested three video hosts - blip.tv (which doesn't have online editing yet), YouTube (And YouTube Remix), and Jumpcut. The compression is high.

This year I'm gonna celebrate by trying to get 51 people to donate $10 in 51 hours to the Sharing Foundation's America's Giving Challenge over at Global Giving. The manuals are organized by "read," "write," and "remix" which I just love. I also found a manual for Kino , a video editing program that runs on Linux.

In less than 24 hours, I've raised $806 to help children in Cambodia using a new feature in Facebook Causes. In addition to sending a birthday card, the Sharing Foundation has just launched its campaign for college student sponsorships over at Global Giving. Flickr Photo Birthday Card Remix Contest.
