I have led Martus outreach and training for the past 4 years and worked with human rights defenders all over the world, but because of the project-specific nature of our work, I interact with each of our partners separately. And, support from the Open Society Foundation made this event possible!

In the case of J-FLAG, Martus enables the organization to protect the identity of victims of abuse who come forward to tell their stories, to secure the information from their interviews, to report on the types of crimes documented, and to aggregate evidence for future court proceedings. We’re so excited to embark upon this new project!

Below is an edited transcript from a September 5th phone interview with Marisa for the Big Vision Podcast. It is a memoir; it's non-fiction, but with a project like that, you choose what you put in, and I had my whole life and the many experiences I've had on many different continents to select from. It was really wonderful.

We are poised to grow not only Bookshare.org, but all of our projects. The project has been so successful at raising student reading skills that they hope to provide similar services to their non-disabled students as well. Miradi Bookshare.org isn't our only project undergoing significant growth. We've just launched Miradi.
