Our Bookshare online library is continuing to multiply its impact. The Oak Foundation just awarded us a grant to provide accessible content to people with qualifying learning differences (like dyslexia) in Brazil, India, and the United Kingdom.

We’ve since welcomed virtual Sprinters from 25+ countries around the globe, including Australia, Japan, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Brazil.

Met with the UN Foundation about a major grant they are giving us to bring Bookshare to India. Even in the tough fiscal environment in Washington, we get good hearings from both Republicans and Democrats. Carol’s social enterprise in Nairobi employs over 100 students working to proofread books for our Bookshare digital library.
