David Barnard has completed six of these grueling races: The Kalahari Desert in Botswana and South Africa (its name is derived from a Tswana word meaning "the great thirst"). But then you'd have to get up the next day and run another 25 miles (or more).

After meeting her at the Global Engagement Summer last spring, I knew I wanted to grab her for an interview before she became too famous. He did his degree in NGO Management, and will be graduating this coming June. The first opportunity that I had to go back was to work in a refugee camp in Botswana. Completely random.
