What is interesting to me is the public/personal sharing options as Dave Gray shared in this post. This diagram is great, but in real life my own networks are blurry between personal, professional, and public sharing and learning. What ever platform you are on, there are best practices for using socialnetworks for professional learning.
I immediately downloaded the Apps for the socialnetworking sites that I regularly use as well as the few Apps that were available from the nonprofit sector. The mobile web is exploding – especially for socialnetworking sites. All bookmarked on my iPhone. Love my iPhone.

As socialnetworks try and become profitable they are experimenting with new ad models and trying to drive more traffic to increase ad revenue.
I think it is tremendously important that we (nonprofit staff and those advising nonprofits) remember that it doesn't matter which networks you are on, or how many friends you have, unless you have something valuable to say. Not being able to organize/sync bookmarks was a bit of a deal breaker. XMarks: Chrome Mac still doesn't allow for reorganizing bookmarks. All my bookmarks were already in XMarks and now they're syncing with Chrome. When I want to reorganize/edit my bookmarks, I just log in to the Xmarks site and do it there.
