Today Allison Fine and I celebrated the launch of the Networked Nonprofit at TechSoup Global in the space where Netsquared Meetups take place. I'm just back from the red eye and really tired - and wanted to capture a few reflections about network effectiveness and resourcing. Like many of my colleagues, I'm gearing up for blogher ! I'm going on an extended trip (10 days) which kicks off with the blogher conference and ends with NCDD conference - with lots inbetween. At the NCDD Conference, I'm working with Loretta Donovan and Chris Heuer on a BrainJam.

We were in Washington, DC on Thursday and Friday for our book tour for The Networked Nonprofit to celebrate with live and virtual events hosted by the Case Foundation and Chronicle of Philanthropy. Over a year ago, I interviewed Carnet Williams , a long time member of the nonprofit technology and riders community and who recently launched a tool called Chipin which is designed to simplify the process of connecting with people in your social network to collect money for a personal cause, to purchase a gift, or for community fundraising.

Blogher's first big social event was Friday night dinner was at the Andiamo Cafe for approximately 140 people. We stayed on the back patio with another blogher from LA and nursed a few drinks to help us mingle.
