Following the link to this post "The need to centralize brand in a decentralized world" made me link of a recent post from Amy Gahran about Jack Vinson (both of whom I hung out with at BlogHer). The desire to track and centralize data and media created on the disparte web is growing for both individual users and corporate brands.
