The nonprofit technology social calendar was packed full this evening with events happening all over Harvard Square, from the Symposium on Social Architecture co-sponsored by Corante and the Berkman Center to the 501 C3Tech Club gathering to a Blogher Meetup ! Here's a live blog of what he said and here. Technorati Tags: blogher
(I've been wanting to do audio and video for a long time, but it wasn't until my blogher experience that I actually got moving and picked up the knowledge to try my first one. Lisa Williams showed her vlog from Blogher at the Berkman Thursday night blogging group and during the walk to dinner, I got to ask her how she did it.
Shortly before the Blogher July 2005 conference, I got a new digital camera that came with a video feature. At the conference, I attended a session on video blogging with Ryanne Hodson and was inspired to go play in a vlog sandbox. I was also curious to see whether there were nonprofits using vlogs to promote their causes.
By chance, I stumbled upon these interviews from JD Lasica of people he interviewed at Blogher. This was while I was learning how to use ourmedia.org for publishing my vlog posts for Cambodia4kids using the fantastic tutorials from freevlog.org.). Technorati Tags: blogher bloghercon
View the vlog post about it here. I'll still continue to blog here during the next two weeks, but will point you over to daily guest posts on Netsquared. Video Blogging Learning Journal. At blogher, I attended a workshop on video blogging lead by Ryanne Hodson and Zadi Diaz. Read about it here. Any advice?
I'm just back after a ten-day business trip beginning with Blogher and ending with NCDD (Dialogue and Deliberation). I just realized that I had bookmarked a post from Joistke with a pointer to an article called 7 Things To Do With Your Blog When You Take A Vacation. So, maybe this is be an intergenerational vlog.
Tharum and I have been in communication via our blogs, IM, and email for over a year now. In addition our participation at the conference, we got to discuss blogging while sharing a day of sightseeing in London. I vlogged it here: Download cultureshock.wmv. Then it was opened up for additonal comments and questions.
Changeblogger Ning Network I've also set up a Ning network for Changebloggers, people who use their blogs, podcasts and vlogs to make positive change. BlogHer I've been a Contributing Editor, along with Beth Kanter , for the past 3.5 years of BlogHer's Nonprofits and Social Change section.
A couple weeks ago I asked you and the Have Fun * Do Good Facebook group for suggestions for Changebloggers, people who are using their blog, podcast or vlog to raise awareness, build community, and/or facilitate readers/listeners/viewers' taking action to make the world a better place.
October 15th was Blog Action Day , a day for bloggers, podcasters and vloggers to write about and raise awareness about an issue. Blog Action Day is a wonderful idea, but it feels too short to make a real impact. For the month of September, Natasha Maw read and blogged in an effort to create awareness, and raise funds for Darfur.
