There’s always great information in the newsletter, but this time around I’m particularly excited because the focus is socialnetworking for non-profits (something that, if you read this blog regularly, you know I’m very passionate about) and the 2011 SocialNetworking Survey.
Second, the popularity of socialnetworking is steady and continues to spread globally, but messaging apps such as WhatsApp, LINE, and Snapchat are emerging as powerful digital communities. That said, below are 12 stats to consider and research further about online fundraising, social media, and mobile technology.

To refine a content strategy, I used the Fan Page insights metrics tool, particularly the stats on interactions and Fan Page growth. The M&R social media benchmarks study is a good start, although the benchmarks are based on a small sample size. I have not done this yet.

First and foremost, determine which existing audiences you wish to engage (board members, major donors, past event fundraisers or attendees, all donors, volunteers, etc) in your fundraising and how you will reach out to them (email, socialnetworks, mail, phone, on-site events, etc).
