The 2012 Nonprofit Social Networking Benchmark Report was released at 12NTC yesterday and it’s already stirring up discussions about how nonprofits are leveraging social networks as part of their fundraising and communications strategy. Top 12 Social Media Insights for Nonprofits in 2012.
One problem is that many do not formulate a measurementstrategy and are at a loss to justify their investment of time and resources or reap insights to improve what they're doing. . In a couple of weeks, the 2013 Blackbaud Online Marketing Benchmark Study will be released (previously the Convio Online Marketing Benchmark Study ). The annual report informs how organizations measure impact relative to their peers. However, the benchmark study is a tool, and like any tool, it depends on how it’s used.
The following five recommendations can help a nonprofit establish diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies that can help with overall success. An assessment tool can help identify strengths, challenges and gaps and help the board hold themselves accountable to reaching benchmarks and goals. Invest in training.
