I resisted it for a year because I was concerned about having yet another social media outpost to feed and tune. I wanted to avoid automated cross-posting of social content because I think it isn't very effective. Here are some metrics that I use to harvest insights on those questions. Tags: facebook metrics.

If you are a social media data junky, then you are in luck because M&R and NTEN recently analyzed Facebook statistics for the 40 organizations surveyed in their 2011 eNonprofit Benchmarks Study. “If groups had a lot of email subscribers, they tended to have lots of Facebook fans,&# said the study.

We also just started reporting on the metrics we already had available (web analytics, FB insights, email campaign stats) and are now moving towards more of a “digital content services&# model with metrics related to specific campaigns, etc.&#. There are specific metrics for specific platforms.
