But the latest online giving data shows continued growth. The Blackbaud Index of Online Giving was launched this year and measures online giving data from more than 1,700 organizations. The Index shows that online giving remained positive during most of 2009 and the trends for 2010 have been very encouraging.

According to the Global Trends in Giving Report , 27% of online donors say that email is the tool that most inspires them to give (social media 29%, 18% website, 12% print). The good news is that modern design trends for mobile email are also compatible with desktop email. Email messaging raised 28% of all online revenue in 2017.
