Mikey has published two books, including the Bradt Travel Guide to Bangladesh. He also founded the Positive Light project, a crowdsourced and crowdfunded photography project and coffee table photo book that is changing the way the world sees Bangladesh. Mikey had the opportunity to speak at TEDxDhaka on Positive Light.

For me, that meant photography, which I have done since I was eight, and traveling, which I love. I heard a wonderful story about a woman from Bangladesh who just scrimped to save a dollar to contribute to them. She writes, "A slideshow of his photos , beginning in 1981 in Northern Ireland, reveals two parallel themes in his work.
