The incident with Google in China has made aware the increasing militarization of the internet – targeted attacks against corporations and activists and that’s the most worrying development. Like Sri Lanka where pictures weren’t getting out. It’s important to sustain that information and interest.

When I was growing up, I was very aware of the class differences, and the different ways that people would treat children who were from lower class families. I also lived in Sri Lanka right about the time that sex tourism became a big deal, and saw it firsthand. At that point we didn't have a name for it. It started out small.
