Google Global Impact Award competitions have been held in India and the UK, and most recently in the San Francisco Bay Area. The guiding principle of the awards is to “apply a Silicon Valley mindset to social innovation.

She was also awarded their annual Ida B. It was written in very scribbled Nepali, her literacy skills were incredibly rudimentary, but what she ended up writing was a piece of journalism. We go on our gut instinct from people's answer to that one question, and then there is literacy testing involved as well.
