How about Digg ? I thought one organization I was working with was getting great traffic from Digg, in part due to highly placed users who seemed to really like our stuff. But then we were approached by a high profile Digg user and asked to work out a reward for future links (i.e. he wanted to get paid for linking to us).

According to ReadWriteWeb, they will soon be providing a related API for Twitter, Facebook, and FriendFeed to integrate, retrieve, and provide further statistics for each users Facebook profile. Both HSUS and Oxfam’s primary efforts are on what Carie calls “the big four”: MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr. However, neither Carie nor Tim discussed social bookmarking or social news strategies in any depth, and Digg, Stumble Upon, and del.icio.us But 36% discovered them through a friend’s profile.
