On Monday, February 26, Ken Blanchard's and Mark Miller's book, Great Leaders Grow , hits the brick and mortar and online bookstores. There are many approaches to journaling and types of notebooks, but I have settled in on using a variation of the bullet journal technique and the one-sentence five-year journal. Chris Brogan’s technique is to select three words and stick with them for the coming year. The five-year journal helps you look back as you look ahead.
But I also love using those pens for visualization techniques and especially to sketch out charts and graphs. I did a deep dive on data visualization techniques while working on a chapter of my next book, Measuring the Networked Nonprofit , with co-author KD Paine.
