Second Life presents a whole new set of rules--governing everything from social interactions to the laws of physics--that have jolted me and museum colleagues out of the boxes in which we typically develop exhibits. Why not apply the same attitude to our own staff? We argue that "play" is not a dirty word when it comes to visitors.
