One of the nonprofits that inspires me locally here in Santa Cruz is a youth empowerment and food justice organization called "Food, What!?" I firmly believe that all people have something meaningful to contribute to our communities, cultural work, and society at large--including youth. He works with kids who rarely show up to school.
