Here at NTEN, we were shocked and saddened to hear the news that last week our colleague, Michael DeLong, passed away very suddenly. Michael was an active member of the NTEN community, NTC speaker, colleague, friend, and an all-around great person to know. We lost Michael all too soon.
This year, I’m much more clear about the directions my work is going in, and what I’m looking for at NTC. Last year I was just re-emerging from having taken a break to go to seminary, and not quite exactly sure what I was doing. And of course, there is Penguin Day !!

We previously posted your tips for navigating the NTC itself, but a fun part of the conference is also exploring the Minneapolis area. Once again, the NTEN community was full of recommendations for great places to check out on your NTC trip. And no NTC would be complete without the annual #ntcbeer NTC Beerfest.
After catching up on our email and our sleep post-2012 NTC, we started reading blog posts from attendees and speakers, and we've been amazed by the insights and ideas you all took away from the conference this year! In the last month, NTEN staff have rested and recuperated (Jessica even traveled to China!), and debriefed a whole lot of the NTC. We also read through all of the NTC evaluations! The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN) will be holding its annual Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC) on March 23-25, 2022. Although there were plans to return NTC to an in-person event following the very first virtual NTC in 2021, the decision was made to return again to the virtual realm to ensure public safety.

I was delighted to see that some of my colleagues were excited to try some of these ideas in their trainings and Kivi Leroux Miller suggested that we do a session at NTC this year called "Online Trainings That Don't Suck," so watch out. I love the way NTEN does these sessions.
Luckily, the NTEN Community is full of advice on places to go, things to do, dishes to eat, and how to navigate NTC like a pro. NTC champs, Farra Trompeter and Chris Tuttle , suggest making a list of at least three new people to connect with before the conference. Austin also has a terrific street art scene. Get cultured.
