For attendance to be correlated with impact, you have to find a way to articulate a theory of change that connects attendance to your mission (inspiration, learning, civic participation, etc.). But in an age of nonprofit accountability and increasingly sophisticated evaluation strategies, I think this kind of approach could be useful.
And yet, of course, our executive director had to be able to evaluate the final plan and make sure that what the young professionals wanted to do was in line with our mission and policies, and there was no, you know, legal concerns or anything with.
