The new Show is the first smart display that can follow you around Since its inception in 2015, Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant has always been a disembodied digital form trapped in a box of electronics. Alexa behaves in the same way on all of them: you ask it to do something, then it provides a polite response and does that thing.
Of course, it does everything other Echo displays and speakers do, thanks to the presence of Amazon’s smart voice assistant, Alexa. This includes playing music, showing weather reports, streaming video, controlling smart home gadgets, telling fart jokes, all the stuff you’ve come to rely on Alexa for. There’s Amazon Photos, a totally respectable photo bucket in the cloud. It’s not as full featured as Google Photos, but it does integrate better with Alexa.
