Amazon employees at a Bessemer, Alabama warehouse have voted against unionizing the facility’s roughly 5,800-person workforce. Workers voted in February and March by mail over whether to join the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), a possibility Amazon fought with anti-union meetings and other aggressive measures.

In its filing, the company says: “The actions of both the Region and the ALU are substantially more egregious than the installation of a mailbox by the United States Postal Service that the Board concluded destroyed and interfered with laboratory conditions in Amazon’s landslide election victory” during the union drive in Bessemer, Alabama.
The NLRB investigation found that warehouse managers may have violated US labor law on four accounts, Motherboard reports. The news comes amid a historic union vote at an Amazon warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama. Workers began voting by mail on February 8th. Votes will be counted on March 30th.
