There is a lot to be learned about our respective tagging behaviors and who contributes to the NpTech Tag stream and why. Is that a formalized taxonomy or not? A sort of "digg" for NpTech Tag items.

I've been reflecting on some of the points made about the pros/cons of the NpTech Tag and the comment that Laura Quinn left here. Obviously, it ain't no taxonomy and it shouldn't substitute for one. I think that the scanning the NpTech Tag can provide a zeitgeist. How are you using the NpTech Tag? I admit it.

How are they different from taxonomies? Gavin's post does a great job explaining the definitions and the advantages of a taxonomy over a folksonomy.
