Our Time (Facebook) is a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment through the voting process. While the app is only available for Washington voters, it could potentially be adopted for other states. Windows 8 adopters can also try out the Viewer for Khan Academy desktop app, which lets you watch Khan Academy videos on your desktop.

I then zipped down to DC for three days. I had a chance to meet with staffers involved in the drafting of two key federal bills that are most likely to be adopted, and shared my issues. But, we’re concerned about small nonprofits who are not Google, Facebook, Pearson or Benetech, and they aren’t able to show up in a place like DC.
