Social entrepreneurs argue that they can be change agents in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors (Praszkier & Nowak, 2011). Historically, federal and state laws have viewed nonprofit and for-profit entities as mutually exclusive organizations whose work rarely, if ever, overlapped.
