On the last day of the Nonprofit Technology Conference each year, we have an Awards Lunch and Community Celebration. NTEN gives two awards to NTEN Members, including the Lifetime Achievement Award , which we blogged about already. Leader, mentor & NPTech catalyst – this is how I see this year’s NTEN award winner.
This year, we are thrilled to honor Judy Hallman for her work with this award. She is passionate about technology and has a desire to see others achieve great things through its use. She takes pleasure in learning about technology (like her recent Drupal and CiviCRM projects) and takes on the challenges that come with it.

The DoGooder Awards recognize nonprofits that see the importance in this in hopes that others with take the step and begin to use video in their programs. You can submit your videos from February 4, 2011 until March 2, 2011. For nonprofits, video is a great way to share your mission, messages and goals.

American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) – Making AIDS History Microsite: Dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic, amfAR has invested nearly $325 million in innovative research and awarded grants to more than 2,000 research teams since 1985.
The Heart and Soul Grant Award Program is a new international program that will give out $25,000 in awards, as well as a custom written song. You must submit an application by midnight on March 28, 2011, and you'll be notified if you've won on April 10. How do you apply? Write a poem. There is a quick turnaround on these grants.

Scholarship recipients will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Austin, as well as providing their own lodging while in Austin. More information on the scholarship program, including tips, fine print, and the criteria, are posted on the SXSW website.
