December 12, 2007 I had a good look at NTEN’s CRM Satisfaction Survey (yippee for data!), and although the sample sizes were small, and not representative of the nonprofit sector as a whole, the people surveyed seemed to like the open source tools available. That’s pretty impressive.
Don’t send a survey asking how frequently a supporter would like to hear from you unless you are prepared to adjust your communication schedule accordingly. Nicholai gives some great tips in his post about how to listen to your audience and the various areas you can capture their critical feedback.
As a 10,000 footer, NTEN’s new Donor Management System Survey is of keen interest. Many of the CRMs also show up here, although there are quite a number of packages that did not show up in the earlier survey. By far the most popular DMS of the ones surveyed was … you guessed … Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.
