Perhaps if DimDim were also to release a version that integrated with Skype … I can’t figure out from looking around their site whether it is cross-platform enough to share desktops, but I signed up for the beta, so I guess I’ll test it out. And also an integration with SugarCRM. Now things are getting interesting.

If you want either of them to just serve up static files, they’re equally easy to use. IIS may come magically installed (and probably running) on your Windows Server, so you do have some smartness requirements to install Apache (not much, though). If you want them to do anything fancy, they’re both a pain in their own unique ways.

GuideStar does have Jumo International listed as a nonprofit organization but very little information is shown and likely won’t be until they file their first 990 with the IRS. “The last thing I want to do is add yet another site to a nonprofit’s plate. The site then uses your location to show organizations in your area.

According to the American Red Cross , A recent Red Cross survey asked 1,058 adults about their use of social media sites in emergency situations. I love that DimDim is using Joomla as their site CMS). You are not only able to re-play them but also embed the meeting on your blogs, wikis or other social media sites. Yesterday, they published the list of organizations that have lost their exemption from paying income tax due to failure to file required reports in 2007, 2008, and 2009. The National Center for Charitable Statistics notes that 90 percent of these organizations have never filed any kind of return. This is great news.

One of the biggest problems with all external giving sites is that lag time between the gift and the nonprofit being able to act on the information. Only 501(c)(3) organizations?
