I’ve long admired Improv Everywhere , the NYC-based participatory public art group. The recording starts with two and a half minutes of music without talking. At 4:30, Steve starts a “pointing game” in which he asks you to point to the tallest building you can see, then the Statue of Liberty, then Nicaragua.

Yes, bars have always featured live music, comedy, and spoken word. But now, many bars are also offering participatory experiences around content. And yet these bar games have something that few museum adult programs offer: complete focus on the audience/participants, not the leader/speaker.
