It's just the real senate.gov site in an iframe (loaded on a Mac after logging out of Facebook and Twitter, of course): More fun to take a look at the who.is - Registered by a Turkish registrar and name server in Hong Kong. I guess the idea is to get unsuspecting organizations to actually make the change, and then switch for spam/ad site?

That is called spam, and it’s frowned upon. As a related comment, make sure to track all your links to see which ones are getting the most traffic. Including social components like Facebook’s ‘Share’ and ‘Like’ buttons, Twitter’s ‘Tweet This’ button, and ShareThis’ email functionality make spreading the word easy.

Maybe folks are discussing your industry on Twitter and you're ready to add your two cents. Search for your organization's name on LinkedIn. Don't worry.
