If visitors have to search around the tabs on your site, they may never find your listserve sign up. If you have a link to your Facebook and Twitter at the top of your homepage and your listserve at the bottom, it implies that you prefer to interact with your audience on your social media sites. Clearly marked.

You can post status updates, leave comments on other people's profile (think: wall). We have a couple of email listservs on Google Groups of our top-tier advocates that we've been interested in migrating to an online community. I posted on-topic comments in Groups and posted to profiles. I followed people. I got the mobile app.

Church Technology Listservs. I’ve been following the discussions on the Unitarian Universalist techie listserv and it’s a great information sharing group. Another is the ChurchMgmtSoftware listserv.
